Creating Instant Alerts

Account administrators can create and manage alerts on their iWell account.

To create a new alert;

1. On the upper left side of your screen, click on the Alerts icon.

2. You will be taken to the Alerts detail screen, where you will see a couple of tabs:

  • Alerts. Your list of new and archived alerts

  • Settings. Create and manage new alerts for Wells, Tanks or Custom Fields

  • Inbox. List of new alert notifications

  • Archives. List of seen notifications

3. To create a new alert, click on the Settings Tab. You will see three tabs, Tank Level, Well Production and Custom Field. When you're ready to create the alert, click on the + Add Alert button.

3.1 You can set the Alert parameters by filling out the following fields:

a) Setting alert parameters. Receive alerts when your production is:

  • Above

  • Below

  • Between

  • Exactly

b) Type of notifications. Select how you want to be notified when the alert parameters have been met.

  • Instant SMS

  • Instant Email

  • Instant Email and SMS

  • Daily Email Summary

  • Weekly Email Summary

NOTE. Instant alerts via text or email are sent out the moment the pumper submits or syncs his reports, not the actual time the event occurred.

c) Alert status. Turn notifications On or Off

d) Select the Tank, Well or Custom Field you want to track

When done, click Save.

Editing contact information

3.2 By default, notifications will be sent to the registered account information. If you need to update this, click on the Edit contact information link. You will be redirected to your account profile, where you can make the necessary changes.

Managing Existing Alerts

To edit or manage existing alerts, click on the Settings tab. You will see the list of existing alerts. To edit an alert, click on the Gear icon located on the right side of the table. Additionally, you can turn On or Off the alert on this same screen.

In addition, you can manage your alert notifications and move them from their Inbox to their Archives - think of this as a Seen and Unseen function.

If you need to filter out your new or viewed notifications, click on the Type dropdown menu to filter them out by Well, Tank or Custom Field notification.
