STEP 1
Screw reducer into tank accessory port. If the porthole is 2" then no reducer is necessary. Ensure the tank port is at least 3 feet from the general opening used to manually gauge the tank.
STEP 2
Cut the tie wraps holding the probe cable. Unwind the cable without kinking and slowly lower the probe into the tank through the reducer installed in step one.
DO NOT DROP THE PROBE INTO THE TANK!
FOR SET-UPS THAT INCLUDE MORE THAN 2 TANK MONITOR PROBES
STEP 3
Screw the probe assembly into the reducer installed in step One.
STEP 1
Before installing, make sure no liquid or gas is flowing to the point of installation.
STEP 2
Screw the 1/2" NPT pressure probe into the installation location. A reducer may be necessary if the installation location is not 1/2" NPT. Be sure to check the pressure probes minimum and maximum pressure specifications before installing. The pressure sensor should not be installed in a location that will have pressure beyond the minimum or maximum pressure specifications.
STEP 1
Screw the iWell Remote Communication Box into the tank monitor probe with the communication mount installed from the previous steps. Make sure to hold the 2" mount coming out of the probe box while screwing in the communication box so that the communication box will screw in the snuggly and not cause the 2" mount to spin.
STEP 2
Screw the antenna into the Remote Monitoring Unit. Screw-in the antenna with the antenna straight down, and then bend once it is screwed into the unit.
STEP 3
Make sure the solar panel is facing south
STEP 4
Connect the white plug on the end of the battery cable into the white receptor on the board next to the battery.
STEP 5
Connecting iWell Probes to the iWell Communication Box
Caps may be on the end of the input receptacles on the communication box to protect them from the weather. Remove these to connect the probe cables.
Use the enclosed cables to connect the probes to the communication box. Make sure to screw in a male input receptacle (2 pins showing) screw into a female receptacle (5pins ole showing).
STEP 6
Press the wake button on the iWell Remote Monitoring Unit as shown. The LED's on the front of the Remote Monitoring should begin to flash and change colors from Yellow to Red and finally to Blue. Once a solid blue light has appeared the remote unit has successfully communicated with the iWell servers.
STEP 7
Gauge the tank to determine the tanks production level. Record the level and the time or gauging as they will be used to Calibrate the unit in the Next step.
Make sure to proceed to step 8 immediately after completing this step.
STEP 8
There are two different options for calibrating your unit: (no calibration is needed for pressure probes).
DO-IT-YOURSELF
(Requires an Internet Connection)
To calibrate the unit yourself simply log into iWell Pumper via the app or online.
Pull up the daily pumper report for the well that will be monitored by the iWell Remote Tank Monitoring Unit.
Find the tank for which the iWell Monitoring Unit will track.
Click the black "Calibrate" button.
Enter the corresponding gauge
followed by the observed gravity
Once done click "close" you will see a message saying your monitor has been successfully calibrated.
Give it a couple of hours till you see the first readings on iwell.
CONTACT IWELL SUPPORT
If you wish to have iWell Support help you calibrate your iWell Remote MOnitoring Unit contact iWell Support at (800) 219-0141. Make sure to have the height from the bottom of the tank to the top of the port/reducer, the height of the liquid in the tanks, and the time of gauging.
STEP 1
Communication Installation
Use the hose clamps to fasten the iWell Communication Box to an adjacent pole. Then Connect the end of each pressure probe cable into the iWell Communication Box.
STEP 2
Screw the antenna into the Remote Monitoring Unit. For the easiest installation, screw in the antenna with the antenna straight down, and then bend once it is screwed into the unit.
STEP 3
Make sure the solar panel is facing south.
STEP 4
Connect the white plug on the end of the battery cable into the white receptor on the board next to the battery.
STEP 5
Press the wake button on the iWell Remote Monitoring Unit as shown. The LED's on the front of the Remote Monitoring should begin to flash and change colors from Yellow to Red and finally to Blue. Once a solid blue light has appeared the remote unit has successfully communicated with the iWell servers.
STEP 6
Call iWell Support at (800) 219-0141 to verify the installation was done successfully.
