With iWell Remote, you will have access to near real-time production data from the field. On this guide, you will learn how to install remote pressure sensors.

Step 1.

Before installing, make sure there is no liquid or gas flowing to the point of installation.

Step 2.

Screw the 1/2" NPT pressure probe into the installation location. A reducer may be necessary if the installation location is not 1/2" NPT. Be sure to check the pressure probes minimum and maximum pressure specifications before installing. The pressure sensor should not be installed in a location that will have pressure beyond the minimum or maximum pressure specifications.

Step 3.

OPTION I. If the Remote Pressure Probe Communication box is preinstalled on the end of the Pressure Probe and only one remote pressure location is being monitored, skip to Step 4.

OPTION 2. If the Remote Pressure Probe Communication box is preinstalled on one pressure probe, but more than one pressure probe will feed into the box, connect the end of the installed pressure probe cable into the Pressure Probe Communication Box.

OPTION 3. If the Remote Pressure Probe Communication Box is not preinstalled on the end of the Pressure Probe, it will be mounted in an adjacent area. To do this, use the hose clamp to fasten the Communication Box to an adjacent pole. Then, connect the end of each installed pressure probe cable into the Pressure Probe Communication Box.

Step 4.

Screw the antenna into the Remote Monitoring Unit. For the easiest installation, screw in the antenna with the antenna straight up, then bend it once it is screwed in.

Step 5.

Make sure the solar panel is facing south.

Step 6.

Connect the white plug on the end of the battery cable into the white receptor on the board next to the battery.

Step 7.

Press the wake button on the iWell Remote Monitoring Unit. The LEDs on the front of the Remote Monitor should begin to flash and change colors, from yellow to red to blue. Once a solid blue light has appeared, the remote unit has successfully communicated with the iWell servers.

Step 8.

To finalize the installation, contact iWell Support at 800-219-0141 to verify it was done correctly and that the Remote Monitor is communicating.

Step 9.

Make sure the battery wires and any internal wires are safely inside the remote monitoring unit, and will not be pinched when closing the unit door. Wires pinched in the door seal can cause the unit to leak. After you have closed and latched the door, install the anti-tampering seal.
